FORSCHUNG & LEHRE ZU WACHSTUMS-, PUBERTÄTS- UND ESSSTÖRUNGEN

Bisher sind über 50 Forschungsarbeiten aus dem PEZZ erschienen. Wir bilden junge Ärzte zu pädiatrischen Endokrinologen FMH (Wachstum und Hormonstörungen) aus.

Lange hat Prof. Dr. med. Urs Eiholzer einen Lehrauftrag in Kinderheilkunde an der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Zürich wahrgenommen. Die Forschungsschwerpunkte des PEZZ umfassen Wachstums-, Pubertäts- und Essstörungen, die Körperzusammensetzung (Fettgewebe, Muskulatur, Knochenmasse) oder die Lust und Unlust auf körperliche Aktivität.

Das PEZZ hat unter der Leitung von Urs Eiholzer 2019 das erste Mal seit den 80-Jahren wieder adäqaute Normwerte zum Wachstum und zum Gewicht von Kindern in der Schweiz publiziert.

Alle unsere bisherigen Forschungsergebnisse haben denjenigen Patienten, die mitgeholfen haben und ihre Daten und Resultate zur Verfügung gestellt haben, einen direkten eigenen Nutzen gebracht – zusätzlich zum allgemeinen Nutzen von neuen wichtigen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen.
